If you fancy a  cup of tea and bite to eat in the morning before a lecture or  par taking of a few beverages before you go out, then come to Union's entertainment venues which are currently being run by the University.

THE BASE

During the day you will find 'The Base' open with plenty of seating, with a food hatch serving breakfasts and lunches and a monster sized video screen with a changing selection of music television channels. On Wednesday Nights you can expect to find the Athletic Union team fundraisers and socials (GOODTIMES).  Each Wednesday a different team provides the entertainment for that night (look out for Mister/Miss University and Smurf themed night), all the money raised on the door goes to that team, so they can afford kits, travel to matches and going on tour. Friday Nights are a whole different matter all together, later in to the evening, as the night really starts to get going we all move down stairs to 'The Base' for the Flagship night, 'FRIDAY FLING'.
